Healing dissociation can be challenging, but grounding techniques often help reconnect with the present. Grounding involves focusing on sensory experiences, such as noticing sights, sounds, and textures around you. Simple exercises like deep breathing, holding a textured object, heal dissociation with grounding, or describing your environment in detail can anchor you in the moment.

Have any of you found grounding helpful for managing dissociation? What techniques have worked best for you? I'm also curious if anyone has tried grounding alongside therapy, how has it impacted your healing process? Are there particular triggers that make grounding more or less effective in your experience?
